Our purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. As a DJSC 3rd Line Core Apps Engineer you will contribute to this by joining a multi-skilled, multi-disciplinary team working collaboratively across multiple services within a shared Environment

Your role will involve:

Incident management - Incident logging, triage and assignment on required toolsets. Manage the Incident to resolution. Keep the incident record updated in accordance with agreed WI.  Escalate where necessary.  Monitor, investigate and fix any problems with the Nexor X.500 DSA.  Monitor, investigate and fix any problems with the Exchange 2003 Messaging system.  Perform detailed and extensive investigations on any ongoing Problem Records. Collate data from various sources and provide expert analysis.  Communicate and collaborate with the customer who is an intermediary to the end user 

Your transferable skills and experience:

Essential: advanced knowledge and experience of Oracle 8-10g Essential: advanced knowledge and experience of Solaris 10 Essential: advanced knowledge and experience of UNIX / HP-UX Desirable: knowledge and experience Microsoft Server 2003 Desirable: knowledge and experience of Active Directory Desirable: knowledge and experience VMWare V5 / V5.5 Desirable: knowledge and experience of Networking principles such as DNS and DHCP Desirable: knowledge and Experience of Perl scripting and PowerShell Desirable: knowledge and experience of Microsoft Exchange 2003 Desirable: knowledge of X.400 messaging Desirable: knowledge of Nexor X.500 addressing and address book replication
