Liberty Home Care is a licensed home care agency and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) provider. The DME CSR is responsible for the intake of sales and client inquiries for DME and supplies. Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. This position is fully in-office at our Niagara Falls location. Essential Functions of the Role + Handles and processes all verbal and electronic requests for medical equipment. + Verifies client insurance information. + Confirm insurance eligibility, co-pays, and effective dates of coverage before filling order(s). + Ensure all information/documentation required for billing claims to insurance provider(s) is collected and completed. Including but not limited to CMN’s, prescriptions, and physician’s orders. + Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documents. + Ensure ongoing documented communication with staff and referral source/client regarding progress of order processing and any related issues. + File and retain documents based on regulatory requirements and Liberty policies. + Arrange for delivery of products. + Contact insurance providers and clients regarding any outstanding payments or co-pays. + Continually maintains and updates internal electronic system used to track client’s activity, process orders, and bill clients. + Stay current with changes to DME billing and intake practices as governed by the industry. + Collaborate with designated individuals on record reviews, audits, and quality initiatives. + Prepares reports as directed.
