What you will be doing
As part of Cloud Network Engineering team, this position is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the DDI and DNS systems in a globally distributed environment, including on-prem and mutti-cloud environments. Provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and DDI/DNS configuration. Project planning and designing scalable network infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements for a reliable DNS Service (includes detailing current and future requirements, planning analysis, project design, cost, and personnel resource estimation for project implementation). Ensure DNS performance and availability meets enterprise objectives for timely service restoration and tuning.
The position will be based in our Plano, Texas or Pleasanton, California office location..
Main responsibilities
Create/maintain documentation of the DNS infrastructure and configurations (architecture diagrams, procedures, etc.) Provide process and technical training to relevant staff (within and outside the immediate team) Participate in on-call rotation as needed Implementation of new hardware and software infrastructure for enterprise DNS Design next generation DDI/DNS infrastructure, including systems, networks, and cloud-based initiatives. Provide second-level support to resolve customer and organization name service issues as submitted within the ticketing system, or as escalated by the Network Operations Center Develop automations and integrations for common or repetitive tasks. Refine monitoring and alerting as well as reporting on KPI and insights on DDI environment Participate in governance of IP address capacity managementTravel Requirements
The position may require some light travel, primarily for working with the broader team on planning initiatives.
** The salary range is $131,600 to $171,080. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). What we are searching for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus. 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on cloud networking and infrastructure. Knowledge in Linux and Windows Operating Systems
