Fastfrate Group is looking for a Warehouse Worker at our Calgary, Alberta, location. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as loading and unloading shipments regularly. This position requires repetitive heavy lifting and the use of equipment, e.g., lift truck, forklift, etc.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
What you’ll do:
Load and unload products and materials to and from trailers and containers onto the warehouse floor. Products are floor-loaded and must be hand-bombed. Operate equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, dollies or hand trucks, reach trucks, etc.Verifies the accuracy of the product being received and shippedMay be required to break down skids of product and build smaller orders for delivery to the customerPick and Pack - must be able to maintain accurate countsEnsures product is moved in a safe manner and reports any incidents to supervisor and or Lead handCompletes various documents as requiredMaintains a clean and safe work area.Match incoming and outgoing products with purchase orders. Follow all workplace safety policies and compliance regulations.Complete the forklift/reach pre-operation checklist at the beginning of every shift.May be required to assist with scheduling freight appointments. May lift cases of product and/or stock merchandise according to documented procedures. Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Sort and distribute incoming shipments. Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off. Report discrepancies to the immediate supervisor. Follow current standards and procedures. Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation and if there are multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete. Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries. Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Ensure that TDG, WHMIS and Forklift certificates are up to date and available at all times. Perform other duties as assigned.Must Haves:
Maintain current forklift operator certification - Must have a minimum of two years 2 years experience with a stand up reach truckTDG certification.May be required to lift up to 22.5 kg (50lbs) on a repetitive basisMaintains current Dangerous Goods certificate as requiredMust be able to read, write and speak EnglishMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailPrevious 2 years related experience preferredWorking experience in Shipping and Receiving role preferred. Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting. Basic mathematical skills. Clean Criminal RecordAble to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently. Computer literacy, including working skills of Excel and e-mail. Attention to detail in all areas of work. Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
