WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We are looking for a scientist as PhD candidate for the duration of 36 months to contribute to a three-year German federal government funded research project on centralized agronomic master data management and interoperability. Within our global Digital Farming unit, you are responsible for the scientific research, conceptional data design and the project management support of a federally funded research project.

As doctoral student, you conduct the scientific research in the respective federal funded research project in agronomic master data management and interoperability. Furthermore, you are responsible for the conceptional definition of required agronomic data taking into consideration the particular importance of master data and semantic meaning as key for interoperability. You model rules for the technical identification and lifecycle management of field-related data. You develop concepts and solutions for a practical data exchange between stakeholders in the digital agronomic environment. Last but not least, you participate in the on-ground testing of the developed data and interoperability solutions together with project partners and farmers. WHAT YOU OFFER master’s degree in agronomy, computer sciences, natural sciences, engineering, mathematics, or related fieldsalready gained practical experience in scientific work and project managementknowledge in agronomic data requirements and interoperability schemesfirst know-how in data design, semantic modeling and technical concept creationgood agronomic knowledge and first practical experience in arable farming is a plusgood communication skills in German and EnglishWHAT WE OFFER Practical phase - actively apply theory in challenging and varied tasks/projects Teambuddy - contact person for all questions and regular feedbackNetworks - get to know different perspectives, ways of thinking and fields of workDoctoral compensation - attractive remuneration for doctoral studentsFlexible working hours - depending on the location and area of workHOW TO REACH US
