Project Title Product Development Life Cycle (PDLM) document control internship Project Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Control intern to join our team. In this role, you will assist in digitizing and organizing essential engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility within our document management system. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking gain to an understanding of document management from an engineering perspective within a world class PDLM system. Main Project Deliverables + Assist in the digitizing, organizing, and releasing of engineering documents in our PDLM document management system. + Maintain, audit and update electronic and physical filing systems to improve document accessibility. + Support the team in data entry tasks related to document control. + Provide general administrative support as needed. Learning Outcomes + Real-world experience auditing and updating critical facilities infrastructure documentation. + Practical exposure to mechanical engineering standards. + Cross-functional collaboration and communication with engineering, safety, and operations stakeholders. + Foundational understanding of manufacturing standards, processes and product lifecycle. Job Qualifications + Currently in final year of school or within 1 year of graduating with Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. + Currently holds 3.0 GPA or hire. + Available to work 30+ hours per week. + Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of handling large datasets. + Strong organizational and analytical skills. + Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams. + Candidate must be highly self-directed, able to take initiative, and work with minimal supervision to meet objectives. Accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and record keeping is critical in this role. + US Person per ITAR regulations and able to comply with export compliance requirements Preferred Qualifications + Familiarity with manufacturing processes and tools is a plus. + Basic understanding of aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100) is preferred. + Foundational understanding of manufacturing principles and aerospace industry standards is a plus + Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment + Exposure to infrastructure or facilities-related projects.
