Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Document Control Quality Tech. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:45 pm. The rate for this position is between $19.00 - $24.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What you’ll do:PRIMARY FUNCTION
Provides support and maintenance to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS), administers the record retention process and perform audits to ensure compliance with internal Quality System procedures, as well as applicable EQMS policies.
Administration of the ISO 9001 QMS and EQMS
1. Support Quality Management System (QMS) documentation control initiatives and ensure compliance to prescribed Document Control requirements.
2. Support Quality Management System (QMS) record control initiatives and ensure compliance to prescribed Record Control requirements.
3. Maintain the storage system for files and data records.
Quality Management System (QMS) Audit Coordinator
1. Provide support to the internal audit program.
2. Provide support in the administration of corrective actions resulting from internal and external audits nonconformities and/or opportunities for improvement.
3. Provide support in the planning and execution of the internal and external audit process.
4. Manage and register the plant's quality stamps.
Engineering Change Management
1. Supports the change management process for engineering changes in the plant.
2. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of changes in the MAPICS and AS400 systems.
3. Responsible for processing product changes in review status and submitting implementation plans for such changes.
4. Responsible for ensuring that the "Item Master" is updated in the Enovia system for requests made.
5. Responsible for sending ECO (Engineering Change Order) reports according to the frequency established in their LSW (Leader Standard Work).
Quality Reports
1. Collect, process, and publish quality reports related to the manufacturing processes.
2. Prepare and distribute status reports, as required, of centralized records.
Calibration Records
1. Support management of Calibration database - Query items due for calibration, prepare them for calibration, initiate supporting documentation per procedure.
2. Monitor status of calibration services purchase orders.
Responsibilities related to Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS):
1. Attend all Safety, Health, and Environmental training, as assigned.
2. Comply with 5S/MESH requirements.
3. Responsible for ensuring safety standards as well as policies established by Eaton.
4. Non-compliance with safety procedures may result in minor accidents and/or injuries depending on the function.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.Proficient with Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Technical writingMinimum of 3 years manufacturing, production, or military experience OR a degree in a technical discipline.No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
