Document Management Digital Transformation Lead

We are looking for passionate, high energy program managers to help achieve that mission.  Within CO+I, the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) team is responsible for supporting delivery of datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects with specific safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals. We are seeking a **Document Management Digital Transformation Lead** to lead the implementation of a new Document Management System (DMS). The ideal candidate will have a proven background in project management, experience with technology tools implementation, and a deep understanding of document management processes within the construction industry. The **Document Management Digital Transformation Lead** defines and executes plans for organizational initiatives and objectives related to management of documents on the EPC end to end process. This role will also define success criteria and performance metrics; conduct cost-benefit analyses; assist with communication plans; evangelize programs to stakeholders; understand mapping and impact of people, process, technology, and systems; assist with identification, prioritization, and scope opportunities for program development and improvement related to document controls.  Being part of this team would give you an opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing business and enable global impact.  This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ, Washington DC. Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location. This role is eligible for hybrid, up to 100% from home. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion **Responsibilities** + Implement a Document Management System to manage the creation, review, distribution, tracking, storage, and archiving of project documents, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and reports, following construction industry best practices and regulatory requirements. + Collaborate with internal teams on the planning, execution, and delivery of the DMS implementation project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards. Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to senior management and other stakeholders. + Create Business Requirements Documents based on the needs of internal stakeholders including engineering, procurement, construction and project controls teams to ensure new tools and/or solutions meet specific needs of the collective EPC organization. + Build detailed cross-functional process maps to support delivery of new tools. + Write use-cases, execute test scripts and validate scenario outcomes as well as performance targets that are expected to be achieved. + Develop training content and ensure proper training and support are provided to end-users to facilitate smooth adoption of the new system. Train and mentor team members on best practices in document management and the use of digital tools. + Establish and maintain governance processes, ensuring compliance with master data management, enterprise policies and standards. + Monitor and support DMS tools post-implementation. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, prioritize strategic initiatives, develop project plans and implement enhancements. + Continuously evaluate and improve document management processes to enhance operational efficiency, project quality and align with industry standards as well as best practices. + Embody Microsoft’s Culture (https://jobs.careers.microsoft.com/logout?lang=en\_us) and Values (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about) **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development + OR equivalent experience. + 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. + Proficiency in Document Management Systems and document control processes. + Demonstrated understanding of construction project documentation and workflows. **Other Requirements:** + Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in any of the following: Global datacenter engineering, complex construction projects, cost and planning execution. + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. + Proven ability to indirectly lead a team and influence others. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills. + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. + Experience with ERP systems and data analytics tools such as SAP ECC, S4 Hanna and Power Bi. + Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in document controls. + Experience with project controls software and tools (Omega, Procore, P6 Primavera). Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
