Document Review Services Team Lead

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:
•    Review documents for relevancy, privilege, and other criteria as directed by clients.
•    Conduct research on technical and industry-specific issues.
•    Assist in drafting reports and findings, including preparing tables, exhibits, and charts.
•    Participate in quality control (QC) reviews and draft escalation questions for client review.
•    Create, run, and validate complex searches.
•    Develop review workflows based on client requirements.
•    Manage document review projects with teams ranging from 10-20 members under the guidance of a review manager.
•    Provide regular status updates and progress reports on projects.
•    Identify and escalate issues, ensuring timely follow-ups.
•    Serve as the initial escalation point and subject matter expert (SME) for the project team.

Qualifications and Experience:
•    LLB (three- or five-year program); LLM (optional) from India or abroad.
•    5+ years of relevant experience in document review.
•    1+ years of experience managing a team.
•    Hands-on experience with Relativity.
•    Strong understanding of document review, eDiscovery, and litigation processes.
•    Proficiency in litigation management software such as Relativity, Xerox, and/or DocuMatrix.
•    Familiarity with industry-specific subject matter and best practices.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•    Understanding of the U.S. judicial system, including legal fundamentals, methods, and procedures.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent English reading comprehension.
•    Professional demeanour with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
•    Analytical mindset with the ability to independently solve complex problems.
•    Sound judgment and decision-making skills, taking responsibility for assigned tasks.
•    Commitment to maintaining quality standards and meeting service-level agreements.
•    Ability to work as part of a team, accept feedback, and contribute to a positive team environment.
•    Strong ethical standards, demonstrating integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
•    Adaptability to changing deadlines and priorities while maintaining composure under pressure.
•    Ability to evaluate and analyse data from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment.
•    Assist in data collection and report preparation on various metrics.
•    Expertise in creating, running, and validating complex search strings.
