The Opportunity
As a Production Supervisor, you will work closely together with the Project Manager and other IT and PS Consultants in the support and delivery of OpenText Document Capture Services (DCS) engagements.
Responsibilities include supervising production staff, generating and reviewing production reports, ensuring staff meet performance metrics, and managing payroll. Provide motivation and support to the team, troubleshoot scanning hardware and software issues, and escalate problems to senior management. Establish workflow policies, create work schedules, and ensure adherence to internal standards and best practices for consistent, high-quality project delivery.
This is an office based position with a shift timing of 2pm to 10:30pm.
What you will be doing:
Supervise 40+ employees and subcontractors, providing support and guidance to boost motivation.Communicate updates and changes to the team.Oversee new hire training.Manage and evaluate staff performance to exceed production metrics.Ensure optimal hardware resource utilization and minimal downtime.Generate and review daily production reports.Submit weekly payroll.Establish workflow policies to improve productivity and efficiency.Assess work schedules for optimal staffing.Review customer Statement of Work to ensure all requirements are met.Create quality documentation for prep, scan, QA, and indexing.Establish production metrics for tasks.Address and document customer questions or issues.Meet customer deadlines.Enforce company policies and procedures.Provide coaching and monitor staff progress.Collaborate with IT on workflow processes.Track customer projects before exporting to IT.Troubleshoot scanning hardware and software issues.Report issues to senior management.Occasionally meet with customers at management's request.Participate in multiple projects concurrently.Offer expertise to resolve escalated projects.Perform supervisory and production duties.
You are great at:
Proficient in current Microsoft products.Strong knowledge of computer/network hardware and connectivity.Experience with document scanning and high-speed scanners.Familiar with OpenText Captiva product or other document capture software.3-5 years of supervisory experience in a production environment.Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with business and department teams.Leadership skills with a strong presence and effective presentation abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong project management and delivery practices.Able to work independently or as part of a team.
