We are now looking for a Documentation Engineer, Service Bulletins to join our energetic and customer-oriented Content Management Technical Instructions team of 15 dedicated professionals working for a better future. The role is offered as a permanent contract and will be based in our Powergate office in Vaasa, Finland.
What will you be doing?
As Documentation Engineer, you will contribute to the process of creating, maintaining, and publishing Service Bulletins. These bulletins are essential for informing both customers and Wärtsilä employees about new technical solutions, new and revised instructions, spare parts, and services for existing engines, equipment, and systems.
You will collaborate closely with technical experts, allowing you to enhance your skills and gain in-depth knowledge of 4-stroke engine services and solutions for both Energy and Marine installations. We offer you engaging tasks in a multicultural environment, where you will pursue continuous improvement with the combination of your existing expertise and passion for developing yourself and the ways of working.
Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
Collaborating with technical experts to create clear and concise content for Service Bulletins in English. Creating illustrations for the bulletins as needed. Conducting thorough research to gather the necessary information for creating bulletins and specific product lists. Finalising and publishing the bulletins to the relevant installations.
The following will enable you to succeed in this role:
BSc or MSc in Engineering or a similar technical background. Strong motivation and genuine interest in working with technical documentation. Enthusiasm for learning, adapting to, and developing new technologies. Proficiency in converting engineering drawings and 3D models into illustrations using Adobe Illustrator and PTC Creo Illustrate. A proactive, systematic, and organised approach to work. Excellent command of English, both verbal and written. Strong communication and self-management skills. Flexibility and the ability to work both in teams and independently.
