Position Summary: Responsible for auditing, correcting and maintaining correct system information to allow billing in timely manner according to organizational and departmental guidelines, policies and procedures. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 1. Acts as liaison between patient accounts and branch staff. Works to resolve items that hold billing. 2. Perform pre-billing functions according to the workflow and billing timelines. 3. Performs end of episode audits and other audits of system information to assure adherence to orders, plan of care, regulations, etc. Correct errors as necessary. #LI-AK1 Required:⦁ High school diploma or equivalent.⦁ One-year medical or health related office experience.⦁ Proficient in MS Office.⦁ Minimum one year of data entry, filing, and record keeping.⦁ Accuracy in basic office skills. Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
Preferred: ⦁ Status of RHIT or eligibility for.⦁ ICD-9-CM coding experience.
