Cybersecurity Analyst I (Intern): The Analyst assists the Cybersecurity team with monitoring systems for security breaches, assists with cybersecurity incident investigation, and supports security control implementation.

ResponsibilitiesThe Analyst Intern role is an entry-level role which focuses on learning and application of cybersecurity principles under the guidance of senior cybersecurity team personnel. Responsibilities include monitoring Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) consoles, reviewing security alerts, and supporting cybersecurity incident response efforts.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
Must be within 180 days of separation or retirement from any US Armed Forces branchUpon separation, you will receive an Honorable DischargeCommand (O-4 above) approval for participation in SkillbridgeTechnical: Fundamental understanding of information technology such as computer networks, operating systems, and basic security principles. Fundamental understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts a plus.Communication: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical team members.Attention to Detail: Ability to denote nuances of events that may indicate compromise of systems or networks.Knowledge Culture: Learn, analyze, and adapt cybersecurity principles to real-world environments.Work and Training: 6 months-2 years in cybersecurity, or related Information Technology field, or supporting security programs such as NISPOM, Risk Management Framework, or similar. Education/Certifications: Associates or working toward in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; possess or working toward Cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ISC2 CCSP, or similar.
This internship is part of the Skillbridge program, which provides compensation for active military who participate in the internship. Gilbane does not have salary data for the posting.
