Greet all guests with a smile and a warm greeting and direct arriving guests to registration areasEnsure all entrances are free and clear of congestion for arrival and departure of guest vehicles, and move and organize vehicles on the drivewayBe noticeably positioned at entrances to provide luggage assistance upon arrival and departure, and assist in the loading and unloading of luggage and ensure that it is sent to the location requested by the guestPromote Valet parking service to guests arriving by vehicle, and ensure all vehicle keys are clearly identified and stored in locked locationBe exceptionally knowledgeable of all hotel related information including: hours of operation, promotions, menu selection, meeting facilities, visitor and tourist attractions, guest room and rate structuring and current availabilityTake responsibility for guest inquiries and problemsProvide luggage storage by directing guests to the Bell DeskAssist in fire alarms by fulfilling duties as outlined in the Hotel fire response manualAssist in ensuring guest and co-worker safety and security by reporting any suspicious or unusual behavior to management and hotel security servicesOther duties as assignedQualifications
Your experience and skills include:
A minimum of one (1) year of recent experience (in the last 5 years) as a Porter or Doorperson, or in a position demanding a luxury standard of constant guest/customer service. Individuals pursuing or having completed a post-secondary education in Hospitality require a minimum of four (4) months' of recent experience as stated aboveA valid BC Class 5 drivers’ license (must provide a drivers’ abstract reflecting a history of responsible driving)Comprehensive and current knowledge of local attractions, events, restaurants and transportation informationImpeccable grooming and presentationGood command of the English language, both written and verbalStrong interpersonal and communication skills are requiredDemonstrate a high level of responsibility and commitmentMust be comfortable wearing a Bluetooth earpieceAdditional Information
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
