As a Marketing Associate on Stryker’s Sustainability Solutions Surgical team, you will support sales and marketing initiatives by providing real-time product support, engaging with customers, and collaborating with the salesforce to drive execution. This role involves traveling to customer sites, supporting products in the OR, gathering insights to inform strategy, and assisting with sales training and promotional efforts. You will also develop expertise in market dynamics, competitor positioning, and product performance, playing a key role in ensuring successful adoption and utilization of our portfolio. With hands-on experience in both marketing execution and customer engagement, this position offers a strong foundation for future growth within Stryker.
What you will do
Understand key competitors and their relative strengths/weaknesses Understand customer groups, including why customers buy the product or service Identify critical customer needs and preferences Provides customer feedback to marketing leadership Aid in the construction of the marketing plan Understand basic budget management principles Understand general marketing principles such as segmentation, targeting, and positioning Is the subject matter expert for applicable products/product lines and able to field technical questions. [note: some products are more technical than others and will take longer to get to SME status] Support sales training initiatives and programs throughout the year Support the on-label use and promotion of all products Understand and supports setting price and maintaining product or portfolio margin Share basic customer satisfaction input trends with the salesforce Ships surgical samples to the sales force to support critical sales activitiesWhat you need
