The Position
As a Downstream Process Scientist, you will work with many different assignments within protein purification in a non-GMP environment using state-of-the art chromatography and filtration systems, and we are constantly exploring new technologies and ways of working.
Our team is a small group, and you will have a broad variety of assignments and great opportunities for developing skills. Team spirit is important to us and although we like working independently, we believe in succeeding together. We enjoy getting together around social activities and looking out for each other.
This role offers an opportunity to interact with numerous stakeholders, e.g. the development part of our organisation as well as our API production sites in US, Gentofte, Kalundborg and Hillerød.
Your main tasks will be to:
• Do hands-on laboratory work.
• Have daily interaction with the technicians.
• Take good care of documentation.
• Be involved in helping to solve emerged problems and contribute to ongoing optimization of systems and processes.
Qualifications
The qualifications we value include having:
• A master’s degree or a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, pharmacy, food and dairy engineering, or similar field.
• A couple of years of experience from manufacturing support or process development function, with a wide range of assignments.
• Knowledge and experience in purification of proteins.
• Experience in using Unicorn and ÄKTA, is considered a plus.
• Full professional proficiency in English, while having a proficiency in Danish is nice to have.
As a person, you are a true team player, with good collaboration and stakeholder management skills. You are not afraid of taking initiative and do a deep dive into finding solutions for any challenge that might happen.
Being self-driven, passionate about work and patient is crucial in this role.
About the Department
Our department API MSAT Downstream Support is located in both Gentofte and Bagsværd and is part of PS API MSAT. The department consists of 5 teams and is responsible for supporting new and marketed API products.
You will become part of a MSAT Downstream team, which is primarily responsible for support to as well as optimization and development of the Downstream API processes for our API productions.
Our key stakeholders are the process development organisation on the one side and production departments in Denmark and in the US on the other side.
Our group currently consists of 3 specialists, 2 scientists, 7 technicians and a master student and we are now looking for a new colleague with a passion for protein purification. We are motivated by professional challenges and individual responsibility. Teamwork, dedication and social interaction are keywords – coming to work must be both fun and challenging.
