Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for an experienced CAD Drafter to fill an 11 month assignment in the Birmingham area. 

Job Description  The Drafter 2 position requires 3 plus years of drafting experience. An associate’s degree in drafting is preferred. The primary role of this position is CAD drafting of boundary, transmission line right-of-way and land tie surveys. This position will be responsible for writing “metes and bounds” or “centerline” descriptions for certain assigned projects. This position supports the survey field crews and office personnel by, but not limited to, researching existing survey and real estate records, contacting local and state agencies for right-of-way information and transmitting completed projects This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
