Job Title: DrafterJob Description We are currently hiring a Drafter for a client specializing in the manufacturing and design of mechanical equipment. This position is a 9-month Contract-to-Hire role, with the opportunity to transition to a direct hire after the contract period. During the contract period, the position includes benefits such as accrued PTO, holiday pay, 401(k) contributions, and other insurance options. Responsibilities + Design work utilizing Inventor 3D CAD software. + Creation of detailed engineering drawings with proper GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). + Collaborate with Product Engineering to update and refine drawings and designs. + Part creation and structuring in ERP system (Epicor experience a plus). + Provide manufacturing support regarding design and part structure. + Process and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs). + Convert 2D designs to 3D CAD models using Inventor. + Assist with other drafting duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, with experience using Inventor. + Associate's degree in Drafting or Design. + Minimum of 5 years of design experience, preferably in manufacturing design. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with welding or knowledge of welding processes is a plus. + Familiarity with heavy industrial machining. + Experience with ERP systems, particularly Epicor. Work Environment This is a full-time, onsite position with a 40-hour workweek, with the possibility of working up to 50 hours per week during busy periods. Overtime is only necessary to meet project demands. You will occasionally need to go on the shop floor to collaborate with production teams and gather feedback. Minimal travel is required, typically around 2-5%, and you may be asked to visit local plants to observe operations and better understand how designs are implemented in real-world settings. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
