Works with Lead Project Engineer and other project team members to transform new product ideas and requirements into a prototype or pilot designUses 3D tools to digitally prototypeDevelop 3D design models based on concepts, sketches or previous designs to create detailed drawings, focusing on core manufacturing capabilitiesConceptualizes sheet metal design through the use of either 2 or 3D tools ensuring tolerancingPropose assembly and\\or fabrication techniques and develop the new product’s mechanical, physical and other attributes to ensure design is manufacturablePresents, or co-presents with Lead Project Engineer model designs for technical review or design reviewsPrepare comprehensive document packages for manufacturing release, including assembly drawings, Bills-of-materials and machine filesMust Have
3+ years plus of experience developing and creating in the electrical-mechanical products spaceExperience in both 2D and 3D modeling software3D CAD, Creo or Solid works/Inventor experienceProficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, etc.Nice to Have
Experience designing to UL, CSA, NEC, and other safety agency requirementsBachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Aided Design (CAD) preferred, Associate Degree in Engineering or CADMachine tool programming experienceExperience working with sheet metalJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
