Job Summary:

At Kawneer, we’re looking for a passionate, detail-oriented Drafter I to be part of our innovative journey. As a Drafter I, you’ll play a crucial role in creating detailed technical drawings that bring our cutting-edge building systems to life. Using CAD software, you’ll collaborate with engineers and architects to design solutions that set new industry standards, shape skylines and transform architectural visions into reality. In this role, you will:

Develop and prepare detailed 2D CAD drawings based off Architectural and Structural drawings. Read and interpret as sold quotes. Meet deadlines to support OTIF (On time in Full) Prepare die drawings for projects at customer request. Prepare shop drawings for standard and modified standard projects using established drafting standards, small to medium in size. Collaborate (verbal and/or written) with team members across the business unit on customer projects Engineering, Project Management, Take-Off, & Sales Maintain organized documentation of all drawings and revisions for future reference. Self-check standard and modified standard projects, small to medium in size using established drafting standards. Understands project flow from Sales to Estimating to Technical Services Incorporates marked up corrections from internal and external customers
