/*generated inline style */ Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: The position is primarily responsible for generating and maintaining engineering product and die drawings using CAD/CAM. The position’s secondary responsibilities include providing technical support in the areas of routings, quotations, dimensional deviation layouts, issuing rework instructions, data compilation/analysis and mass update changes to engineering Product Data Management (PDM) System.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creating and releasing product, detailed tooling and assembly drawings.
• Creating quality salvage layouts and potential rework instructions.
• Creating CAD layouts for NPI cost estimations.
• Providing CAD support for engineering efforts related to mass update projects.
• Providing support to maintain WGH CAD and drawing vault systems.
• Maintaining WGH drafting quality standards.
• Managing related CAD activities to adhere to development timelines.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• High level expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Drafting.
• Functional understanding of GD&T standards and requirements.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interface with multiple disciplines within WGH.
EDUCATION:
• High School diploma plus at least 3 years of CAD experience/training. Preferable with Siemens NX.
EXPERIENCE:
• Prefer an extensive knowledge of mechanical and industrial engineering.
• Prefer prior CAD/CAM experience in closed-die forged product design.
WORK CONDITIONS:
• Predominantly office-based with periodic exposure to a manufacturing environment.
• Occasional movement around the manufacturing floor, including standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
