Position Overview: The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects at Fort Johnson. This role requires a strategic leader with strong technical expertise, project management skills, and experience in managing cross-functional teams. The candidate must ensure all projects align with organizational goals, meet deadlines, and stay within budget. Compliance with DOD 8140 regulations and maintaining a Secret Clearance are mandatory for this position.\n
Key Responsibilities:\n\nLead and manage IT projects from inception through completion, ensuring they meet scope, time, and cost constraints.\nDevelop project plans, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.\nCoordinate and communicate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and external partners.\nOversee risk management, quality assurance, and change management processes.\nEnsure compliance with DOD 8140 standards and guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.\nProvide regular project updates to leadership, including status reports, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.\nManage project budgets, resources, and procurement activities, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization.\nLead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring project milestones are achieved.\nImplement best practices in project management, adhering to industry standards and organizational policies.\nEnsure documentation and project artifacts are maintained according to organizational standards.\n\n
Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.\nA minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within a government or military environment.\nPMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.\nIn-depth knowledge of DOD 8140 compliance requirements and experience in maintaining security clearances.\nStrong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Agile, Waterfall).\nExcellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.\nExperience working in a DOD environment and familiarity with military protocols and procedures is a plus.\n\n
Additional Requirements:\n\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.\nCompliance with all DOD 8140 certification requirements.\n\n
