Job Description SummaryAs a DRAM Dry Etch Engineer, you will be a part of Micron’s latest generation of DRAM research & development team working on plasma dry etch process development, optimization, solving, and fundamental research. The position promises ample opportunities for innovation, collaboration and testing new processes and tools for industry leading DRAM nodes. You will work directly with process integration and other process areas such as Wet etch, CVD, Diffusion, Metals, Lithography & CMP. You will work on innovative and outstanding dry etch chambers & lead the process development roadmap to meet program & yield goals.
In this role, you will develop process recipes to meet structural & electrical requirements. Run wafers though Dry Etch levels in support of specific requirements. Take ideas from conception through process development then implementation in our production facilities. Ensure robust etch processes that meet the detailed physical and electrical requirements for Micron products. Update the Fab engineers on customer issues and technology needs. Support root cause defect and unique fail mode analysis.
Support multi-functional failure analysis and yield improvement. Serve as a resource for peers in recipe & process development. Analyze data and make critical decisions that drive process optimization, yield improvement, and cost reduction. Maintain SPC (Statistical Process Control) and inline metric indices. Develop process tuning knobs and establish Run to Run strategies for production stability. Establish and maintain redundant production paths. Collaborate to resolve tool and process issues to improve output/yield. Coordinate with Process Development Engineering, Process Integration, Shift Operations Team, and Area Management on any daily strategic or tactical priorities. Collaborate with High Volume Manufacturing fabs to resolve development or line management issues. Handle projects to ensure results are completed within the required scope, schedule, and budget. Track actions and provide critical issue path or resources to meet project timelines.
