Dredging Administrative Coordinator, Estimating

Job Description: 

The Administrative Coordinator, Estimating provides support to the team and is responsible for recording project details, pre-bid meetings call logs, estimating agendas and organization.

 

Essential Job Functions:  

●      Support Estimating, Business Development, and Proposal staff

●      Research and identify potential dredge project advertisements, updating current solicitations

●      Maintain estimate records, logs, and pre-construction meetings

●      Maintain weekly schedules and edit workload list

●      Maintain project tracking, monitoring client sites for updates

●      Acquire plans and specifications

●      Assist with writing & editing proposals

●      Maintain client registries and contracts

●      Monitor daily changes related to ongoing and upcoming pursuits

●      Print and copy plans, specifications and addenda

●      Small and disadvantages business solicitation and communication

●      Schedule, assist, and setup department meetings

●      Other duties & responsibilities as directed by the department manager

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: No  

 

 

Qualifications: 

●      1-3 years of experience with Marine or Heavy Construction experience preferred

●      Proficient skills in office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)

○  Complimentary skills – SAP, Heavy Bid, CRM, InEight

●      Ability to read, analyze and interpret plan drawings, technical procedures, and project specifications.

●      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

●      Excellent organizational skills

●      Ability to work a 40-hour work week, M-F, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., additional hours as needed

●      Willingness and ability to travel infrequently 5-10%

●      This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language

 

Certifications/Licenses: 

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record  

 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to navigate project sites, which may include walking, climbing, and/or bending 

Ability to remain stationary in seated position for long periods of time  

Ability to navigate around office to use equipment as needed  

Light lifting (up to 15 lbs.) as needed
