Travel % - up to 10%

Salary:  40 K – 58 K gross per year depending on background and experience.

The Global Design Center (GDC) Nutrition leads the Global R&D program for Nutrition, with a focus on Scratch Cooking and Dressings (Condiments). The GDC has a key role in leading global big bets from a technical standpoint, developing new proprietary technologies, building capabilities and knowledge, designing science-based solutions and digitally embedded tools to enable teams around the world to develop and deploy winning products, future proof portfolios, identify smart product savings and deliver business objectives with speed and agility in local markets.

We are recruiting a technologist to join the Nutrition Dressings team in the GDC Nutrition. Reporting to the Dressings Formulation Lead, this role would focus on supporting Dressings (Condiments) innovation & technology projects and key activities on product development.

JOB SUMMARY


Formulation Development Responsibilities:

 Building and executing experimental plan

 Leading and performing bench trials

 Supporting Pilot plant trials (trial preparation and execution)

 Conducting product and ingredient physical-chemical analyses and executing shelf-life tests according to project needs

Data analysis, assessments, and technical reporting

Operational Responsibilities: 

 Organizing tasting sessions and supporting consumer panel evaluations   

Arranging shipment of samples to internal and third parties   

Responsible for the maintenance of equipment and adhering to working procedures

Ability to train others in working with related equipment   

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education: Professional education, min. Bachelor/HBO preferably in Food Technology, Food Science, Product Design, Food Engineering, Processing, Chemistry or related areas.

Previous experience of working on food ingredients and food matrices as well as process development of food products would be a Plus.

Strong interest in chemical analytical techniques and measurements and eye for detail and accuracy.

Interpreting (own) test/trial results and drawing conclusions.

Making recommendations for (own) follow-up test/trial.

 Presenting and explaining results to the team/requestor. 

Working knowledge on MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint for data analysis, visualization, and presentation.

Basic awareness on commercial aspects of business, finance, marketing, regulatory and legal. 

Basic awareness on project management and agile WoW and tools. 

Fluency in written and spoken English is a must.
