Drill Supervisor

The Role

SRG Global are seeking an experienced Drill Supervisor to join the Drill & Blast team at our Cowal, NSW Operations.

We are seeking a proactive individual to work closely with site personnel to ensure the projects is run in a manner that meets the client’s expectation and SRG’s high standard of project delivery. The individual will provide leadership to site personnel and will ensure that work is completed safely and efficiently. This position will assist the Project Managers in continuously improving performance in project delivery giving SRG their competitive edge in the market. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Be responsible for the safe and economic site execution of projects reporting to the Project Manager. Liaise with client representatives on daily activities and inform the client of activities which may impact on mining operations. Attend client meetings for information on works being carried out.  Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure production targets are achieved and any variations to the job scope are immediately documented and relayed. Mentor and provide leadership, direction, and support to new and existing site employees.    Ensure site daily worksheets are completed and sent to relevant departments. Complete end of month reports including stocktakes and OHS reports. Conduct daily PSI meetings and monthly toolbox meetings. Train new employees and ensure compliance of site-specific training requirements. Monitor maintenance and condition of plant and equipment. Create and maintain rosters for site employees. Authorise employee time sheets and annual leave forms. Control and maintain consumables.

 

The successful applicant will ideally have:

Considerable mining experience (including in drilling). Cert IV in Leadership Management Cert IV WHS Cert III or IV Drilling Knowledge in maintenance management Supervisory or team leader experience. Strong customer service focus. Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor personnel and manage client relationships. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Computer literacy is essential. A strong safety focus.
