ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position working on a sportsman roster– DIDO to our Boddington Mine, located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).

As the Technician Vacuum drilling, Assist with the execution of vacuum drilling activities in compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions and defined processes, and schedules to achieve optimal outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Executes vacuum drilling activities efficiently according to planned and allocated tasks. Execute vacuum drilling activities in accordance with the relevant quality and HSEC standards. Ensure accurate positioning of drill rig against planned drill hole location. Provides input toward the maintenance and condition of equipment. Provides feedback to the Vacuum Drilling Supervisor on improvement opportunities. Participates in training as required for operational needs and as directed by the Vacuum Drilling Supervisor. Reports events and hazards in a timely and accurate manner. Participate in other mining activities as required.

 

 

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

Demonstrated oral and written English language proficiency. Certificate III in Drilling Operations (preferred) Light Rigid (LR) (or higher) class drivers licence. Relevant exploration drilling experience (preferably vacuum drilling). Demonstrated ability to work safely as a member of a team

 

 

Qualifications for this position are: 

Specific operational experience, skills and knowledge of mining operations is desirable. Experience in data analysis, interrogation and developing actionable plans to achieve business outcomes will be highly regarded.
