Drilling Optimization Engineer - Digital Solutions
Responsibilities: + Provide 24/7 operations support in real-time drilling operations while working in shifts on a rotation basis in the Real Time Support Centre (RTSC). + Responsible for handling and supporting three major sections of operations: Pre-Well Planning, Drilling Operation Support, and Post-Well Reporting. + Prepare hydraulics, torque & drag plots (road maps), and compare planned vs. actual data to identify deviations during the Pre-Well Planning phase. + Proactively monitor and perform quality control of Mud Logging (ML), Logging While Drilling (LWD), Directional Drilling (DD), Wireline, and Completion data during Drilling Operation Support. + Compile, analyze, and deliver information in a timely manner to support decision-making. + Consolidate bit and bottom-hole assembly (BHA) details and track performance. + Monitor and track real-time equivalent circulating density (ECD) vs. planned, and hole cleaning trends. + Prepare daily reports and ensure proper distribution. + Track and measure various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) designed by stakeholders, and routinely share this information. + Conduct post-well analysis, including statistical analysis of rig performance, non-productive time (NPT), and invisible lost time (ILT) tracking and reporting. + Maintain tripping speed analysis and bit records. + Complete all required training within given timelines. Skills: + Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, leadership, root-cause analysis, KPI optimization, and team collaboration to lead and influence others to drive change. + Strong report-writing skills. + Ability to calmly manage crisis situations. + Ability to work with minimal supervision. Qualifications: + A bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent degree is required. Additionally, a master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or Geology with relevant domain experience is highly preferred. + Minimum of 2 years' experience in an RTSC environment. + Minimum of 8 years of combined experience as a Mud Logger and Drilling Engineer.
