Drilling Services Manager
Boart Longyear
This position will be supporting a project site located in Beatty, Nevada. The role will require relocation to Beatty, or travel to the site for a 14/7 or 5/2 schedule rotation.

We are currently seeking an experienced Drilling Services Manager to join our Boart Longyear team. In this role, the Drilling Services Manager will work specifically with the client and will play a crucial role across different divisions in project coordination, client relationship management, and will be a key player in ensuring continued EHS and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Ensures all aspects of the project are aligned with contractual obligations, the scope of the work, and any additional client KPIs or expectations. Encourages and sustains a culture of continuous improvement and optimization by fostering collaboration, leveraging data-driven insights, and implementing best practices across all aspects of the project. Builds and maintains a strong relationship with the client and all operations personnel.Handles difficult situations with professionalism to find effective solutions to challenges to ensure client satisfaction.Acts as a liaison between the Company and the client to ensure all needs are met across drilling disciplines.Coordinates regular meetings with the client to review needs and objectives while championing the operations teams and the Company.Leads and influences team culture focused on safety and driving improvements.Influences a sense of continuity among divisions with a client-focused approach.Collaborates with teams to ensure EHS and other compliance standards are being met across divisions – to include site inspections/inductions, FLRAs, etc.Anticipates problems, barriers, or conflicts and works with operation leadership and the client to implement solutions.Approaches areas for improvement with a sense of teamwork and collaboration.Ensures relevant operational systems, processes and practices exist, are understood, and applied consistently throughout the project.Connects the interface between operational requirements and EHS systems, processes, and practices so that statutory, company and client requirements are met.Provides guidance on operational and safety requirements
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Project Management or related field, such as: Geology, Mine Engineering OR 7 years of applicable experience in the Drilling Services/Mining Industry.Proven track record of successful project management and coordination in the Drilling Services Industry.Strong technical understanding of Drilling Services in its entirety, to include different drilling disciplines.Extensive background in Environmental Health and Safety.Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire a safety-focused team culture.Must have strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive and collaborative approach to address challenges.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, team members across divisions, and other stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to navigate difficult conversations while maintaining a positive and solution-oriented approach.High level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions, with a commitment to upholding company valuesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks.
