As a junior process engineer, you will develop and expand your knowledge of conventional and advanced water treatment processes under the guidance and supervision of a senior process engineer. The candidate should have some existing knowledge of drinking water regulations and treatment processes including coagulation, clarification, softening, media filtration, membrane filtration (microfiltration/ultrafiltration), reverse osmosis (brackish, seawater), UV/AOP, ozonation, carbon adsorption, and/or distribution system water quality. In this role, you will be expected to apply advanced engineering principles and techniques to solve complex water quality and treatment challenges. Project work may include water quality analysis, evaluation of alternative treatment technologies, conceptual design, applied research (bench-scale and pilot testing), and regulatory compliance studies. In this role, you will support senior process engineers with data anaysis and visualization to communicate complex topics to a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders. As projects progress into design, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams to design and implement proposed treatment solutions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support senior process engineers with business development activities such as preparing marketing materials for pre-positioning and proposal development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to attend and present at local/national conferences and start building relationships with local clients. Your role would include diverse opportunities in water treatment, ranging from treatment of conventional water sources (fresh groundwater and surface water), brackish ground water, and seawater desalination, reuse, and mining water.
