Our client, a fruit production company is looking to hire a Yard Driver for their location in Oxnard, CA. The ideal candidate will need at least 1-year experience operating yard or commercial trucks (specifically trucks that haul containers and/or trailers). Responsibilities for this position include moving containers to and from the warehouse doors/docks and the parking spots at the yard or in the warehouses. Open and close the container doors when at the docks.

The Day-to-Day:

Responsible for the order and cleanliness of the equipmentWeekly and daily inspection of the equipment assigned for the week by following the checklist provided.Basic maintenance of the equipment.Support the reach stacker operator on chassis swap for over-the-road dispatches.Make the necessary movements of equipment within the yard/warehouses as instructed by Supervisors (or Managers) to organize the facilityPlug and unplug containers from their parking spot when necessaryKeep track of the movements performed with the equipment.Keep track of the fuel requirement of the equipment.Comply with any additional task assigned by the Operation Superintendent and/or Manager.

Qualifications:

High School DiplomaMinimum 1 year of experience operating yard or commercial trucks (specifically trucks that haul containers and/or trailers)Experience in an Intermodal fleet environment preferredA safe driving record is a mustCalifornia Driver License (Class A preferred but not exclusive given the yard trucks do not leave the yard premises)

Pay Rate/Shifts:

$20.00 /hrMonday to Saturday
