GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Driver Examinations Support is responsible for performing clerical and administrative functions, including, but not limited to, preparing and reviewing a variety of correspondence and documents, responding to/directing routine inquires relating to the department’s programs and processes, filing and other duties that support the operations of the department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Customer Inquiries
Provides information and/or answers related questions from internal and/or external persons based on departmental procedures.
Answers phones and determines customer needs; transfers and/or refers calls to the appropriate department and/or person.
Administrative Support
Maintains standard file records and/or logs and may be required to search for and/or review file documents using manual and/or automated systems.
Maintains inventory and security of office supplies.
Checks, reviews, and/or verifies policies, records, forms, applications, inventories, or other documents for completeness, accuracy, retention, and conformity to established criteria.
Codes forms, invoices, and other documents.
Composes correspondence from general instructions and/or based on knowledge of department regulations and/or procedures.
Prepares routine reports by gathering, compiling, and summarizing data from a variety of sources, which requires judgment in the selection of materials and in the planning of the format.
Opens, stamps, records, sends, and/or distributes mail, and/or orders and maintains standard office supplies.
Performs messenger or delivery services within and/or outside corporate premises, which my involve vehicle operation.
Checks the accuracy of invoices, receiving reports, and other documents, and maintains records of budget expenditures.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Knowledge of coding (i.e., using simple codes accurately).
Knowledge of arithmetic computations.
Knowledge of Auto Fund driver licence classifications and driver programs.
Skill in telephone etiquette (i.e. answering phones, handling the call, listening, professionalism and terminology).
Skill in proofreading documents for accuracy.
Skill in Microsoft Products (e.g., Word, Excel).
Fundamental knowledge of the functions of the Auto Fund.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Grade 12/GED.
EXPERIENCE
6 months – 1 year’s directly related experience providing office/administrative support or customer service.
