What this job involves - The Driver/ Gases Technician will perform gas deliveries and generator moves on campus in Thousand Oaks, CA.

What is the day to day?

Performance of ongoing preventive and reactive work orders on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic steam, chilled water, heating hot water and associated systems, equipment, and related components. Maintain, operate, and repair all pumps, valves, boilers, chillers, compressors and HVAC systems and associated equipment to include electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations. Respond effectively to all emergencies. Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly. This is to include building automation systems, fire / life safety systems, and any other building related equipment. Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them. Maintain an audit ready state of compliance for all governing agencies.Must be willing and able to support any afterhours building related activity as required. Attend periodic training seminars. Candidate will be provided tools required to perform assigned work scope. On call duties and overtime as required.

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

4+ years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of HVAC, plumbing electrical equipment repair and maintenance.

Preferred

Certifications related to gasses or the ability to obtain certifications/licenses within the first year on the job

 

Estimated total compensation for this position:

62,000.00 – 62,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
