Position Overview:

SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job)

CDL licensed Driver with passenger endorsement will provide safe and timely transportation of PACE participants, including transport meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other transportation as deemed necessary. Assures overall cleanliness, safety of the vehicle assigned on a daily basis, and communicating any safety issues to the Transportation Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

High school diploma or GED. Associate's degree preferred.

Experience:

CDL license with passenger endorsement required.

One year working with Seniors in healthcare or home health environment.

One-year CDL driving experience.

Other Credentials:

CDL with Passenger endorsement, DOT medical card.

Knowledge and Skills:

Has well-developed communication skills, both written and oral, that may be used either in an on-site or virtual environment is required. Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives.

Special Training:

Proficient in Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point). Basic knowledge and experience with electronic mail and calendaring system. Knowledge of transportation software systems necessary.

Possesses a high degree of personal accountability, responsibility, and independent decision making abilities with the skills to interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the organization in line with mission, vision, and philosophy of Capital Health PACE.

Usual Work Day:

8 Hours
