The Digital Health Data Scientist Intern will support the Digital Health Data Engineering and Solution team in developing and implementing digital health solutions. The intern will contribute to projects that enhance patient care through technology, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain hands-on experience in the rapidly growing field of digital health. Interns could be located out of our US locations in San Diego, San Francisco, Titusville, Raritan, Spring House, Boston as well as remote. **Minimum qualifications:** **Currently pursuing master’s, or PhD degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational Biology, Biomedical Informatics, or related quantitative discipline.** **Strong working knowledge of data science and machine learning.** **Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, R, MATLAB** **Experience with pipeline management tools e.g, Nextflow, including the development, optimization, and deployment of complex workflows.** **Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, R).** **Experience with cloud-based data processing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Singularity).** **Experience working with and executing scripts against large databases such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, PostgreSQL.** **Familiarity with genomic data formats (e.g., FASTQ, BAM, VCF) and bioinformatics tools (e.g., BWA, GATK, STAR).** **Experience with RShiny, Flask and HTML** **Strong technical communication and presentation skills.** **Basic understanding of healthcare systems and digital health technologies.** **Preferred qualifications:** Experience in one or more of the following - **Working knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, OMOP, SDTM and/or ADaM** **Possess a strong knowledge of GPU and high-performance computing techniques for efficient data processing.** **Experience with one of the cloud providers like AWS/Azure/GCP, have knowledge developing both cloud-native applications** **Applicable pay range:** $22 per hour to $51.50 per hour The anticipated base pay for this position is between $22 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience.
