Bringing Home the Dough

Salary range: $$57k - $60k

 

Supports the planning and analysis requirements of the Corporate Shipping and Transportation team, using analytical skills to promote well-informed, fact-based decisions. 

The position support’s an annual spend of roughly $250MM and supports all Flowers Bakeries and may work with any and all 3rd Party Transportation Providers.  

The position ensures the integrity of all the Shipping and Transportation trackers and reports, working closely with the VP of Logistics and other key Corporate Logistics Members on developing the key business continuity plans and productivity tracking metrics for reporting activities.

Current scope of this position: Supporting analyses for the Corporate Shipping and Transportation team.  Working closely with team to create, maintain, and distribute all agreed upon reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually); identify areas of concern and opportunity; recommend and implement policy change; manage trackers and reports, and submit to key suppliers each week; take direction on needed proforma’s across multiple areas of Shipping and Transportation, and provide accurate numbers for planning, perform period and quarter data reports.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Analyze data to provide cost savings and efficiency proformas.
• Provide assistance and service to operating plants in support of their needs. 
• Provide data management support to the Shipping and Transportation team
• Gather, organize, analyze, and interpret Shipping and Transportation data. 
• Fulfill weekly savings tracker needs
• Create, manage, and manipulate Excel and other databases for various complex and dynamic reporting needs. 
• Complete special projects as assigned. 
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.) 
• Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
 

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

• One – Five or more years of analytics experience in a financial, manufacturing, or procurement function.  Experience may include an internship or coop experience.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's and other data manipulation formulas).
