Within the global UCB IT organization, the IT Devops Automation team is playing a crucial role in managing the CI/CD toolchain landscape with the goal to enable automation of IT applications across several functional domains focusing on delivering value to patients.
As DT Lead Automation Engineer you define the service offering for DevSecOps Automation while providing guidance to stakeholders, you understand and own the CI/CD technology landscape, drive automation at scale, enable self-service and introduce the best practices for ensuring technical excellence while being the reference point of contact for a pool of external resources. You stay up to date about the most recent and emerging technologies on the market. You are able to explore new ways of working, and define patterns reusable at domain or enterprise level.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with UCB stakeholders to understand how automation can improve workflows and contribute to the UCB strategy.Identify, recommend, design & optimize automation solutions.Develop best practices, standards and accelerators for the automation services and products.Provide expertise during project initiation and execution while seeking consensus with stakeholders. Oversee the development of automation while ensuring technical excellence and alignment with security policies. Master agile and automation principles.Seek to coach and enable other DT departments in line with common goals and Digital Transformation objectives.
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
You have 3-5+ years’ experience in Enterprise IT organizations.You are a digital dexterity champion, curious and eager to learn.You have practical experience with DevSecOps and agile practices.You are a thought leader of the latest Automation, CI/CD, IaC, DevSecOps, Agile tools and practices. You have a deep experience with Microsoft Azure ecosystem, cloud architecture and Kubernetes.You have experience in implementing robust and resilient automation solutions. You have experience in leveraging Artificial Intelligence in an automation context (i.e. : AIOps, code driven automation).You are fascinated by Generative AI, its potential in the automation space and you seek to apply these concepts to generate valuable outcome in your solutions. You have experience coding automation pipelines and as such you are considered a subject matter expert. You have experience/or willing to learn Python.You have experience with custom application development.You master the application lifecycle management (SDLC). You have experience in enabling automation at scale in an enterprise context. You have interest for cloud software engineering and you consider it valuable for your personal development. You can establish procedures and practices.You deliver sustainable results over time.You are a change enabler.You are an excellent communicator, and you can build trusted relationships with your stakeholders.You welcome and share feedback.You are Fluent English.Why you should apply
