The DTC Data and Marketing Technology Manger will play a pivotal role in shaping our marketing strategies and driving business growth. This role is responsible for managing the seamless integration of data and marketing technology into our marketing campaigns. Works closely with data stewards across the organization (and marketing technology partners) to define, implement and accelerate transformation to data-driven, orchestrated and measurable experiences.
Responsibilities Data Management: oversees the collection, analysis and interpretation of marketing data to inform strategies and decision-making. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and ensure data accessibility.Responsible for the management of detailed field-level cataloging and data transformations of source data feeding marketing technologies.Requires a thorough knowledge of data set taxonomies which include digital channel taxonomy and customer data taxonomy to create seamless nomenclature within data assets.Responsible for resolving data discrepancies and irregularities with source data systems and marketing platforms/partners.Oversees data audits to continuously improve data reliability, quality and efficiency.Marketing Technology: evaluate, implement and manage marketing technology tools and platforms to enhance marketing effectiveness. Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful integration and optimization of technology solutions. Stay updated on emerging marketing technology trends and make recommendations for adoption.
Manage vendor relationships related to data infrastructure, data enrichment and marketing technology for optimal productivity; negotiate contracts maximizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO); manage the marketing data and technology budget and resources in alignment with agreed-upon business KPIs.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, Contact Center, and IT teams.To align data and marketing technologies to strategies and achieve business objectives. To proliferate common business vocabulary for maximizing user base interpretation of data across the enterprise; acts as a liaison to bridge communication gaps. Ensures all data security and governance principles are achieved and maintained.Responds with flexibility to changing priorities and new projects that arise throughout the year.
Qualifications In-depth knowledge and understanding of marketing data assets (first and third party) and marketing technologies.Proven experience leading multiple MarTech and data-driven initiatives concurrently while completing tasks accurately, on time and within budget.Work experience in the financial services industry; familiarity with life insurance is desirable. Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and reasoning skills. Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Quick learner and highly adaptable to new technology.
Work Setting:
This position works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. Position requires substantial movement of wrist, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing or information technology or equivalent work experience. 5+ years in direct-to-consumer marketing.
Computer Skills and Knowledge of Hardware & Software Required:
Typically requires 2+ years managing Google Cloud Platform, Google Marketing Platform and Salesforce, including solution components and connectivity. Basic understanding of query (SQL) and scripting (Python or R preferred) languages.Proficient with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI).
Certifications & Licenses (i.e., Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.):
Google Cloud Professional Certification preferred. Google Analytics 4 Certification preferred. Salesforce Data Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud certification preferred.Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a strong plus.Position Demands:
Long hours spent in front of a PC collaborating, working on projects and support.Extended hours may be required during peak workloads or special projects and off-hour support.
The salary ranges posted reflect our targeted base pay hiring range for the position. The final determination on base pay for any position will be determined based on multiple factors to ensure pay equity within the organization. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
