The Digital & Technology Solutions team (DTS) helps the company’s continued transformation from a products company to a technology & solutions company, creating value-based proposals tailored to each individual customer’s specific challenges, connecting new technologies and data solutions to a state-of-the-art ecosystem, which is relevant to progress the patient’s surgical experience and outcomes.
Having innovative products and solutions is no longer enough. Zimmer Biomet connects these offerings with the patient’s surgical experience with the goal to improve outcomes like never before. Our full expertise and value added is delivered through ZBEdge. A major component of ZBEdge is the ROSA© Knee robotic-assisted surgery platform, which is enhanced with innovative technology & data solutions designed to improve patient engagement and OR efficiency.
• Build/define/execute the strategy for each country within South Africa and business plans for the ZBEdge portfolio
• Identify growth opportunities within the region to drive ZB’s strong growth agenda.
• Identify and overcome the different challenges that the different countries may face.
• Lead and drive sales performance to deliver growth by closing complex sales transactions according to company priorities.
• Active participation in regional projects to shape/drive/implement new product offering & commercial initiatives.
• Coordinate the local team of ZBEdge territory sales reps, robotic clinical support specialists, technical service engineers, and patient pathway consultants.
• Develop local organization capabilities to transform ZB from a medical device to a technology company.
• Represent the ZB Technology and Data Solutions unit towards customers and industry associations.
• Ensure that ZB is represented appropriately in the market, recognized as a trusted and reliable partner of choice.
• Build support from surgeons and hospital administrators for ZBEdge adoption.
• Accountable for ensuring that the entire value chain (from pre-sales to post-sales) and cross-divisional relations achieve a superior customer experience.
• Create growth for the DTS portfolio to be able to build and manage a team as the customer base grows.
• Work very closely with the General Manager of the South Africa region to align on the growth strategy.

• Experience in managing multiple different countries with multiple diversities
• Fluent in English
• Master degree in business administration and/or Health care related studies would be beneficial
• Min. 5 years of sales experience, with multi-channel approach, ideally paired with in depth knowledge of hospital operating processes.
This dynamic job position requires an ability and willingness to travel up to 60%, including international travel as necessary.
