Dual Rate Cage Cashier/Main Banker

Compensation: $16.75/$18.75

Position Summary:

The Dual Rate Cage Cashier/ Main Banker is responsible for accurately processing transactions for Guests and co-workers while maintaining a positive demeanor and pleasant attitude throughout. In this position the Cage Cashier/ Main Banker prepares and accurately verifies all Casino exchanges, including but not limited to Cashier transfers, Outlet Banks, Cashier Banks, Casino Deposits, Casino Bank Orders, Table Fills/Credits, and Casino Drops (Slots, ATM, Kiosk, Table Games).

Note:Native American preference will be given. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Protect Company assets and maintains confidentiality.

Guarantees excellent Guest services.

Knowledges of current Casino events and promotions.

Accurately counts and cash Chips, Coin, and Currency, process Jackpots, e-Checks, Personal Checks, and Travelers Checks and balances Vault Main Bank and Cashier Banks.

Reconciles assigned bank upon completion of shift.

Completes Debit/Credit card transactions.

Issues interdepartmental banks and receive interdepartmental bank revenue.

Organizes closing reports and paperwork in preparation for balancing.

Tracks Guest transactions and prepare/maintain MIL and MTL.

Enters Table Game closers and roll Cage/Pit shift in a timely manner.

Processes Casino Drops, Bank Orders, TITO’s, Jackpots, Table.

Fills/Credits Fill/Drop ATM’s and Kiosks and prepares Outlet Banks, Cashier Banks, Casino Deposits.

Investigates variances, process requests for review with Surveillance.

Handles Guest disputes professionally and effectively.

“On-call” status during assigned shift.

Experience and Education:

High School Diploma/GED equivalent or any combination of education and experience totaling two (2) years

One (1) years’ experience in the Gaming or Banking Industries  One (1) years working within a Supervisory capacity Experience working within a highly stressful environment while remaining calm and professional.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of counterfeit document and negotiable instrument signifiers. Capable of understanding and adhering to numerous Cage Policies and Procedures as well as Internal Controls. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to analyze complex information, and to define and solve problems. Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues. Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid New Mexico Driver’s License. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, and obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Commission.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

None relating to this position at this time.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. The Employee is required to kneel, bend, squat, walk, and remain mobile for prolonged periods of time. The Employee will use fingers, hands and arms to conduct repetitious movements and tasks, and must be able to lift thirty (30) lbs. The Employee must be able to talk and hear in an environment with varying noise levels. Requires working in an environment with exposure to smoke. The work is performed inside a highly regulated environment where the employee may be required to remain, without the ability to regularly exit internal offices (Cash Cage).

Work Environment: 

Work is generally performed in an office and Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Evening and/or weekends, holidays, extended hours, and irregular shifts will be required.
