Dual Rate Surveillance Supervisor
Dual Rate Surveillance Supervisor Responsible for properly executing surveillance duties and supervising the activities of all Surveillance personnel on assigned shift to adequately protect the life and property of customers, associates and the assets of the New York State Gaming Commission, as well as company property. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: + Monitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution. + Ensures the quality of operations in the Surveillance Department on assigned shifts. + Generates necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving guests, Associates and/or the facility. + Observes, documents, videotapes and reports any unusual or suspicious activities on property. + Regularly inspects the premises, identifying potential safety or security hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution. + Reviews surveillance tapes and reports, providing detailed information to appropriate company officials and outside agencies, as needed. + Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports. + Make suggestions and recommendations, as appropriate, with regard to possible changes in the policies and procedures of other departments, with the protection of company assets in mind. + Maintains a working knowledge of the Company’s facilities, as well as special events on property in order to monitor customers and fellow Associates of same, whenever possible. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises the activities of all of the Surveillance Associates on assigned shift. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of one year of experience as a surveillance operator required. Must possess Table Games knowledge and completed the required test. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of one-year experience in law enforcement, loss prevention, surveillance operations or gaming security preferred. Excellent communication skills required.
