Durability Test Engineer

Job Summary:

 

Our client in Troy, MI is looking for a Durability Test Engineer. This is a contract position.

We are seeking a Durability Test Engineer to join our Durability Attributes team. This individual will play a crucial role in solving critical durability challenges throughout the program. The candidate will be part of a small, growing team of engineers, and the organization will expand as the product plan matures.

·       Conduct durability testing activities, including interfacing with testing facilities and engineering teams to quickly resolve test failures, maximizing vehicle uptime.

·       Develop detailed test plans to ensure that vehicles and necessary testing resources are properly coordinated and on schedule to meet the test objectives.

·       Serve as a point of contact between engineers and test facilities to document issues for root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.

·       Contribute to the total vehicle integration of durability requirements, feasibility, and validation at the vehicle level through testing.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Body, Chassis, Powertrain, Interior, and Electrical departments

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

·       5+ years of experience in durability development and testing. Experience with electric vehicles is preferred.

·       Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems.

·       Experience in managing durability test schedules and executing tests.

·       Basic knowledge of data acquisition and analysis tools (CANalyzer, data loggers)
