Job Title: Logistics Account Specialist
Job Description
As a Logistics Account Specialist, you will provide essential support to vendors and sellers using our client as their freight distributor. Your role will involve ensuring that customers receive the service they are due, solving operational problems, and resolving missed pickups to ensure freight is collected. You will analyze data, communicate with stakeholders, and manage a growing number of vendors.
Responsibilities
+ Provide shipper support to vendors and sellers.
+ Ensure customers receive the required service and solve operational problems.
+ Research and resolve missed pickups to ensure freight collection.
+ Analyze daily reports on missed pickups and resolve issues using various tools and resources.
+ Start with managing 50 vendors and increase to 175 within 8 weeks.
+ Communicate predominantly in written form with vendors.
+ Manage inbound transport, scheduled pickups, re-routing hauls, and issue resolution.
+ Perform data analysis and interact with multiple vendors, particularly with 18-wheelers and freight.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in vendor relations or account management.
+ Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
+ Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
+ Experience in logistics, intermodal transportation, and written communication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Customer obsession, bias for action, and a drive to deliver results.
+ Reliability and stability in work performance.
+ Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ 4-5+ years of industry experience (specific titles not required).
+ Ability to work with multiple screens and tabs simultaneously.
+ Strong problem-solving attitude.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely. The position may transition to fully on-site depending on desk space availability. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Wednesdays and Thursdays are on-site days, while Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays are remote. The onboarding process includes 2 weeks of classroom and hands-on training, followed by a 6-week ramp-up period. The team is diverse and collaborative, and you will have the opportunity to grow, innovate, and make a direct impact on up to 1000 shipments per week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
