Position: E&I Commissioning Superintendent

Location: Perth

Project: Woodside

Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months (casual)

 

What you’ll have

TEE / HSC/ Engineering Degree. Strong EPC/EPCM background  5 - 10 Years in a Commissioning environment or Commissioning Engineering Professional with extensive experience in the relevant industry Commissioning projects with a proven track record of planning, preparing and executing commissioning scopes and/or shut downs. E&I background. A proven track record and demonstrable success in the management of HSE. Knowledge of Electrical systems and their interaction with other systems Ability to read BLD’s, SLD’s Schematics and Termination Drawings, with good understanding of mnemonics and where system limits should be shown. Must show an aptitude for the completions/certification documentation process Completions tool (Smart Completions, Orbit, etc.) understanding / skills are preferred.

 

The role responsibilities include:

Develop commissioning and completions strategies and documentation. Site visits when needed Ensure all applicable project safety procedures are prepared and fully understood and implemented throughout the pre and commissioning phases. Manage and supervise site commissioning and associated activities according to the plan. Identify and develop handover procedures, ensure project quality requirements are met. Identify commissioning priorities and manage the interfaces between E&I completion / pre commissioning and commissioning requirements. Preparation of all commissioning work packs, job cards drawings, procedures, specifications and documentation to prepare for and plan the offshore scope. Preparation of scope descriptions, man-hour and duration estimates to support the development of job cards. Responsible for preparing the schedule of the commissioning activities and then working closely with the planners in the development of the integrated site plans to provide a realistic and logical plan with well-defined critical paths and a plan that is interfaced and integrated with the schedule and start up plans. Work closely with planners in the development and identification of critical paths, monitoring and reporting of progress of the engineering and construction work scope. Verify that the construction contractors complete the facilities in accordance with the specifications and each system is handed over to Commissioning with the minimal quantity of punchlist items. Direct Sub-contractors Discipline Engineers on issues of commissioning priorities, commissioning integrity, safe work practices, schedule compliance and documentation of commissioning progress and issues. Assist the Completions Coordinator in developing the Completions Management System for the electrical discipline. Verify mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Ensure that all engineering and work preparation activities are carried out with due regard to safe working practice, safety of personnel and the integrity of the installation. Preparation of weekly and monthly management report, prepare daily reports re: progress and commissioning / materials / logistics issues. Develop, monitor and progress KPI’s (performance indicators) to demonstrate the performance against the plans and targets. Identify and mitigate risks, Provide assistance with, and input to, the development of the completions system and processes. Identify specialist training requirements and develop training plan, identify all vendors required for the commissioning and organise the vendor plan. Provide support to the procurement group in reviewing vendor information and assessing related aspects
