We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source an E&I Lead. This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below.
Title: E&I Lead
Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)
Location: Qatar Onshore
Working Schedule: 6 days per week / 8-10 hours per day
--Experience Required—
Key Job Accountabilities
• Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with client Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and client Project Management System (PMS).
• Leads electrical, telecom & Instrumentation engineering design and planning activities and ensures FEED contractor develops detailed design in accordance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards, project specifications and any approved variations.
• Plan and schedule Electrical, telecom & Instrumentation Engineering deliverable, including design / project philosophies, specifications and procedures to enable efficient execution in meeting project milestones/schedule
• Review, evaluate and advise on electrical simulations, optimization, in compliance with design.
• Ensure project documents related to the Electrical, telecom & Instrumentation discipline are reviewed and commented in a timely manner and in accordance with project specification and contractual requirements.
• Review technical aspects of electrical equipment purchase orders with MP FEED Contractor and vendors in accordance with the roles and responsibilities stated in applicable contract(s).
• Preparation of procurement as needed, including for Long Lead Items.
• Monitor and provide guidance to FEED Contractor to ensure key discipline deliverables, progress/milestones are met. Recommend additional technical support where necessary to address gaps.
• Coordinate and analyse discipline issues for resolution. Provide Electrical, Telecom & Instrumentation Engineering input to other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement etc as necessary. Support commissioning, start-up and system completing activities and make appropriate recommendations to management on Electrical, Telecom & Instrumentation matters.
• Lead Electrical, Telecom and Instrumentation interface coordination with MP onplot, MP off plot, RLIC, and Kahramaa power supplier, or any third party, as required, during FEED.
• Contribute to Safety analysis studies such as SAFOP, HAZOP or HAZID, SIL and provide the required input to support project management in key decisions making. Participate in sharing lessons learned, together with capturing current lessons learned to benefit future projects.

Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Industrial Control Engineering
Knowledge and Key Skills
• 10 years’ experience working in Electrical, Telcom and Instrumentation Engineering, preferably in a major LNG Project. Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore LNG facilities and utility systems design, construction and operations.
• Requires demonstrated broad Electrical equipment and systems experience (HV/MV/LV) electrical systems design, transformers, switchgear, power management systems, electrical system controls for reactive and active power sharing, power distribution control, and familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes and relevant industry codes.
• High voltage and large-scale onshore power design requirements.
• Technical expertise in control systems (ESD, FGS , DCS..)
• Instrumentation Knowledge to interface Instrumentation
• Experience in greenfield and Brownfields projects
• Deep knowledge of package & Instrumentation interface signals
• Experience to interface with Cybersecurity team
• Experience in design of all Telecom and security systems and seamless integration of telecom and safety system with existing facilities.
• FEED experience is required.
