JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:            E-Learning Platforms Manager 

Reports To:     CIO

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This vital role manages and optimizes the LMS, leading the training team to deliver excellence. Collaborating with enterprise-wide stakeholders across the business functions, you'll design and implement cutting-edge e-learning initiatives while providing essential technical support and training. Enhance our digital learning capabilities and drive training effectiveness in this key position

LMS Management and Administration: Oversee LMS operations, Systems Maintenance and Vendor ManagementManage the training team (Instructional designer/Learning experience designer, Instructional Technologist, consultants, Vendors, etc.)Content Development, Course Integration, and Quality AssuranceCollaborate with Subject Matter Experts and team members in all phases of the courseware development cycle to analyze and determine learning needs and the best modality to meet desired outcomes.Create survey and assessment instruments; analyze data from surveys and assessments and incorporate feedback or determine edits needed. Provide content QA, technical writing, and grammar/punctuation reviews.Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances knowledge and skill retention and transfer.Perform graphic design, user interface design, and design production graphics for training courseware.Data Management and Reporting: Monitor LMS usage to determine the effectiveness of e-learning strategies and generate reports for relevant metrics.Strategic Planning & Implementation: Conduct needs assessment to determine e-learning needs of the organization and implement e-learning strategies that align with organizational goalsCollaboration & Communication: Work closely with rest of the business functions, collecting feedback, formulating policies and procedures related to the LMSSecurity & Compliance: Ensure LMS platforms comply with data protection regulations and Organizational security policiesUser Support & Training

BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

8+ years of experience working on LMS Platforms (Eg: Tovuti, etc)5 years of experience managing LMS PlatformsProven experience with instructional design and course developmentProven experience with E-learning development tools and technologies

Technical skills

Proficiency in E-learning authoring and development tools (Eg: Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia, Microsoft’s Office Suite, and Adobe’s Creative Suite)Understanding of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design principlesExperience using ADDIE, SAM, or Agile methodology.Knowledge of related web development technologies.Experience creating storyboards and translating them into engaging web-based learning modules.Technical knowledge of SCORM and training standards (i.e. aggregate Shareable Content Objects (SCOs) to create SCORM compliant content packages) for delivery on the LMS.

Additional Qualifications

Experience in Project ManagementKnowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards related to e-learningFamiliarity with multimedia tools for creating interactive contentAbility to train and support end-users on LMS functionalitiesExperience in a corporate training environment

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Instructional design, or a related field.
