GovCIO is currently hiring for an eLearning/Web Developer for our client in San Antonio, TX.  The position is a hybrid remote position – candidates will occasionally be required to come into office and/or the downtown training center.

Responsibilities

The eLearning Developer will be responsible for producing multimedia (visual and audio) components for eLearning and training material. The eLearning Developer will create, edit, update, and maintain various instructional material, including, but not limited to, electronic learning modules (ELMs), webinar recordings, videos, manuals, job aids, and guides  The development work requires a thorough knowledge of current distant learning best practices, including relevant training activities, exercises, interactions, and environments. Subject matter expertise in the following areas is preferred: eLearning development, graphic design, web design, and project management. 

 

Create, edit, and post electronic learning modules (ELMS) using various multimedia tools, including, but not limited to:Techsmith CamtasiaAdobe After EffectsAdobe IllustratorAdobe PhotoshopAdobe Captivatethe entire Adobe Creative Cloud suiteArticulate 360Record and edit audio narration for use in ELMs.Develop graphics that are complimentary to and enhance final work products. Record and edit video content resulting in a seamless final product. Review and ensure the quality of development is in accordance with the established standards.Interact with Training staff at all levels to develop appropriate training.Collaborate with other team members to maximize content knowledge.Manage development workload, communicate status of projects, and report any problems to management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 6 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

6 years of specialized experience working and interacting with others in a structured/team environmentAbility to create, edit, and post electronic learning modules (ELMS) using various multimedia toolsHands on experience with web programming languages (i.e HTML, CSS, etc)Experience training adult learners and awareness of adult learning principlesProven experience developing and delivering e-learning contentProven experience writing lesson plans and curriculum for both live and self-paced coursesCompetency in instructional design and instructional technologyExperience working with subject matter experts and identifying a target audience’s training needsExperience in conducting live training using Microsoft Teams or other video conferencing toolsAttention to detail and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during the course of workExcellent organizational, time management, editing, and communication skills (both written and verbal)Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demandsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging prioritiesSelf-motivator and self-starter Clearance Required: Must be able to acquire and maintain Public Trust

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
