WHAT TO EXPECT
Are you passionate about cutting-edge electric powertrain technology? As an E-Machine Adhesive SME, you will lead the application and development of adhesives and formed-in-place materials used in powertrain e-machine applications. Your expertise will ensure the quality and performance of critical bonding solutions—such as lamination stack adhesives, magnet bonding, wire lacquers, potting compounds, and thermal interface materials—meet design intent requirements.
Working closely with cross-functional teams across Product Design, Prototype & Production Manufacturing, and Material Engineering, you will play a key role in shaping the future of electric propulsion systems.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Failure Mode Avoidance – Develop and maintain DFMEAs for adhesive applications, ensuring robust designs from the outset. Technical Leadership – Own and update engineering standards, design rules, and validation procedures for adhesives and formed-in-place materials. Issue Prevention & Resolution – Lead root cause investigations (8D/DMAIC), capture lessons learned and embed improvements in foundation documentation. Mentorship & Guidance – Coach component engineers in assessing bonded interfaces and support programme teams with technical compliance at key milestones. Benchmarking & Best Practices – Analyse competitor solutions, collaborate with supplier technical specialists, and develop teardown analysis guidelines for adhesive performance assessments.
