In this role, you will become a key part of our Financial Lines team, training to be the go-to expert in Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance. PI is a critical form of coverage designed to protect professionals and businesses against claims of negligence, errors, or omissions in the services they provide. It plays a vital role in industries where expertise and advice are central, such as law, consultancy, and engineering.
As part of your journey, you will also gain hands-on training in other Financial Lines products, including Cyber Insurance, an increasingly essential area in today’s digital landscape.
This position, based in our centrally located Copenhagen office, serves clients across the Nordic region - Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

Your impact and responsibilitiesAs a Financial Lines Graduate, you will work towards becoming a PI Underwriter, supporting existing clients and generating new business opportunities. Key responsibilities include:
Assessing risks and analysing financial and legal data to support underwriting decisions.
Structuring and pricing PI insurance policies, ensuring alignment with AIG’s strategy.
Developing strong relationships with brokers and clients, acting as a trusted partner.
Negotiating and tailoring insurance solutions to meet specific client needs.
Working with internal teams, including claims and legal specialists, to provide comprehensive solutions.
Gaining expertise in Cyber Insurance and other Financial Lines products to enhance your industry knowledge.
Contributing to business development by effectively communicating AIG’s offerings.
What you’ll need to succeedThe Early Career program is designed for individuals beginning their insurance careers, with 0-2 years of experience. While previous exposure to insurance (internships, student jobs, or other entry-level positions) is beneficial, we look for candidates with:
A degree in law, economics, business, or a related field.
Fluency in English and Danish (additional Nordic languages are considered an advantage).
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex risks.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
A commercial mindset, with an understanding of how to present AIG’s solutions effectively.
A proactive and eager approach to learning about Financial Lines and risk management.
While this is not a traditional sales role, an ability to communicate the value of AIG’s products and build relationships with clients is key. You will develop consultative selling skills that focus on trust, tailored solutions, and long-term partnerships.
