AIG's Early Career Analyst Program

Whether you’re a recent university graduate or graduates with up to two years of work experience, the program is designed to evolve with the rapid pace of technological advancements and changing employee preferences to ensure that today’s participants become leaders capable of conquering tomorrow’s challenges.

Over the two-year duration of the program, successful candidates will work in a dynamic environment combining formal and experience-based training alongside meaningful and rewarding work experience. Then, guided by experienced professionals, they will put the skills they learn into practice in a supportive corporate environment.

Make your mark in Underwriting

AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk, transforming our operating model and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague – empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.

How you will create an impact

Underwrite new and renewal business in accordance with underwriting guidelines, relevant underwriting authority and AIG principles.

Identify target accounts, and monitor progress against budget by utilizing appropriate report and tools.

Maintain accurate files, registers and records to contribute to management reporting and timely service and policy insurance.

Assist in implementation of business plans in accordance with the A&H business and company's direction.

Ensure maintenance/development of solid working relationships with our agency department and existing/new brokers to create business opportunities.

Identify business opportunities and convert ideas to reality through product development and enhancement.

Proactively keep up to date with industry, business issues and trends.

Attend client/broker functions when required.

Ensure client service metrics as agreed by Profit Centre are adhered to.

What you’ll need to succeed

A good degree in Insurance/Business/Finance related fields.

Enthusiastic and committed to pursuing a career in the global insurance industry.

Entrepreneurial mindset.

Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.

Flexible team player with ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.

Detail-oriented.

Strong stakeholder and time management skills.

Strong verbal and written communication in English.
